The Neotropical Primates Research Group (NeoPReGo) is a non-profit NGO founded by four field biologists that felt the lack of support for long term field primatological research in Brazil, and also noted the low involvement of local community in the research and protection of wild primates. To help improve the quality of scientific research and increase the involvement of local communities, we created this organization.
The main goals of NeoPReGo are:
- Support research on Neotropical Primates
- Carry out long-term primate research in several field sites
- Establish a trustworthy collaboration network for science and social-education
- Include the local community in high quality science production
